The Bangladeshi Welfare Association, Royal Tunbridge Well (the Association) provides advice and support to people of Bangladesh ethnic origin living in the West Kent and surrounding areas. It was founded in (date to be shown) and has enjoyed a steadily growing membership at present around (number to be shown) and has an active Management Committee. It is currently seeking charitable registration with the Charity Commission. • Helping and supporting the Bangladeshi community in the West kent to achieve its full potential and contribution to society whilst maintain its cultural identity and values.
• Assisting members of the Bangladeshi community to adjust to cultural and value differences between their own and UK society.
• Advising and supporting members of the Bangladeshi community , in particular those born outside the UK or recent immigrants where language difficulties may arise, to make full use of opportunities and services available.
• Providing education specific to the needs of the Bangladeshi community and to promoting understanding of Bangladeshi culture in the wider community .
• Acting as a representing , social and support organization for , and owned by the local Bangladeshi community.
